An aircraft type defines which seats exist on that aircraft. Those seats are
what crew get rated for, so this screen is the foundation of crew qualification.
Where: Admin → Fleet → Aircraft types · Permission:
adminAircraftTypes
Columns: IATA, Name, ICAO, Short, Positions, Action.
The editor takes Name (required), Short name, IATA and ICAO (up
to four characters, upper case). Positions is a count, not something you set
here.
Renaming a type deliberately leaves its positions matrix untouched. A type still
used by aircraft cannot be deleted — the refusal tells you how many use it.

Per row: the use switch, Seat, Operator name, Default,
Position type, FTL type, Wage, Notes and Completeness
(Excl / Mand).

So this matrix decides which ratings can exist. Whether a given person holds
one is set on their user record. The Ratings list
under Admin → Crew is a read-only view of the result.
