Every person in Joya — crew and office staff — is a user. The record holds who
they are, what they may do in the system, which seats they are rated for, and
their personal documents.

Both editors write to the same record — the quick editor is a shortcut, not a
different set of data.
Name, Middle name, Surname and Known as are all required; Known
as is what appears throughout the interface, so keep it short and recognisable.
National ID is the crew member's national identity number. It is printed in
the NATIONAL ID column of the Crew List, so if it is blank
there, it is blank here. Fill it in for anyone who flies.
Also here: gender, date of birth, place of birth, nationality, language and
salutation.
A rating is permission to hold a position on a specific aircraft type. The
tab lists each aircraft type your airline operates; pick the positions that
person may fly on it.
Under each aircraft type, every selected rating has an In experience
checkbox. Tick it for crew who hold the rating but are still building
experience on it — for example a newly upgraded captain still under supervision.
The flag is stored per rating per aircraft type, so someone can be in experience
on the 737 and fully experienced on the 747. Deselecting a rating clears its
flag automatically.
The Personal endorsements tab lists every endorsement your airline has
defined, with this person's own Number, Country of issue, Date of
issue, Expiry date and notes.
Remaining is calculated for you from the expiry date, and turns red once
overdue. An endorsement whose expiry falls before its issue date is treated
as expired regardless of today's date — that combination is not valid, and
Joya will not count it as current or send "expiring soon" reminders for it.

Select New user, fill in the person, login, code, permission group and home
base, then save. Set ratings and endorsements afterwards on the full editor.
Open the user, clear Active, save. They can no longer sign in anywhere;
their records, flights and history remain.
Open Ratings, choose the positions on that aircraft type, tick In
experience if supervision still applies, save.
