Decides what the journey log form contains — for ops
staff and for crew in the app.
Where: Admin → Journey log
Filter tabs All / On / Off / Locked / Not implemented, and columns
Field, Enabled, Required and Notes. Fields are grouped into
block times, fuel, counts and distance, crew and codes, and other.
Switch Enabled on or off, and Required on or off.
There is no Save button. Each row saves the moment you change it. If a
save fails the row reverts and a message appears — so a row that snaps back is
telling you the change did not take.
Required cannot be set while a field is switched off.
Five fields cannot be changed: BLOFF, T/O, LDG, BLON and
Pilot flying. They show as Always · locked and are always required — the
journey log is not meaningful without them.
Changes do not reach an already-open ops tab. Ops keeps its copy of the
form until the page is fully reloaded. After changing anything here, tell
whoever is working in ops to refresh, or they will keep seeing the old form.
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| A toggle snapped back | The save failed | Read the message; try again |
| Crew do not see a newly enabled field | Their app is showing a cached form | Have them reload |
| Required cannot be ticked | The field is off | Enable it first |
| A field cannot be enabled at all | Marked Not implemented | Not available yet |
